Designed to provide users with an in-depth analysis of both historical and forecast global supply/demand balances for steel products and steelmaker's raw materials. In addition to monthly updates of production and trade data (amounting to over 4,000 data points monthly), the system allows users to perform sensitivity analyses by adjusting as many as 15 key input factors through 2025. The GMB is designed to securely store user forecasts and allows users to export all data to Microsoft Excel. For instructions on navigating and using the system, please view the demonstration video.
Designed to provide detailed capacity information on a facility-by-facility basis and developed in partnership with Germany's VDEH Steel Institute. The system provides highly specific equipment parameters including capacity, year of start-up and modernization along with various process and final product specifications. The Plantfacts Database covers both upstream equipment (coking coal ovens, sintering and pelletizing plants, blast furnaces and DRI units) and downstream facilities (plate mills, wire rod mills, pickling and oiling lines, cold rolling mills and coating lines). As an add-on to WSD's World Cost Curve products, users may view equipment detail for each of the Cost Curve facilities.
